Jhadeswar Temple –
Located at a distance of 1 kilometer from the Jharsuguda railway station, the Jhadeswar Temple can be found within a small forest beyond the old town of Purunabasti. You can find a self-appearing Shiva Lingam here whose actual age is unknown and its appearance is also mysterious. During the reign of Jamindar Govind Singh the lingam was worshipped inside a hut made of leaves but in the year 1916 Mulju Jagmal, a contractor from Gujarat created a temple here.
Chandi Mandir –
Located at Brajrajnagar which is 30 kilometers from Jharsuguda railway station, Chandi Mandir is dedicated to Goddess Chandi. The goddess is worshipped here and the Chandipitha is located inside a natural rock cave on the banks of Ib River. You can get down to the temple via the iron stairs and also enjoy the natural vista and surrounding of the banks of Ib River from the temple. And these beautiful surroundings and the temple make it an interesting tourist destination.
Pahadi Mandir –
Located at a distance of 3 kilometers from the Jharsuguda railway station and 3.5 kilometers from the bus stop Pahadi Mandir stands on a small hill top where Lord Shiva is being worshipped. You can relish the beautiful sights of the Jharsuguda town from the hill top.
